My work consists of various sculptural installations with projections, photo series, large format photography, book publications and more recently Tableau Vivant video. My interests lie with questions relating to perception, representation and the construction of images and histories, while also focusing on the tension between text and image, between reading and visualising and – in a larger sense – between the fabricated and the real. The use and mis use of Language is often used as a starting point in my work.
Fergus Doyle has worked on several public art installation projects as technical assistant, including Technical assistant during the installation of Brian Hand’s Little War in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle during the Kilkenny Arts Festival 2008, The 2004 Carlow Art Festival eigse for Portuguese artist Joao Penalva. Visual Arts Coordinator with Carlow County Council as part of the 2004 Carlow Arts Festival Visualize, for Beyond The Sea by Fiona Foley.
Co Founder of Studio9, Wexart Fergus is currently working as Art Technician for IT Carlow at the Wexford Campus.
